Bigger isn’t always better.

When we think of a hotel lobby shop, visions of flower key chains, bucket hats and touristy t-shirts automatically flash in our minds. The Calile Hotel has given the concept of hotel lobby shops a huge makeover by opening up their cozy Museum of Small Things – or, M.O.S.T as it’s been coined!

With a carefully curated selection of sleep, treat, resort and relaxation items available, The Calile is certainly proving to show that M.O.S.T isn’t your average hotel lobby shop. M.O.S.T stocks a range of super chic, and often local, brands including Slip, The Goodnight Co., Bondi Born, F & H Jewellery and Anna Varendorff – just to name a few!

Owner and curator of M.O.S.T, Rebecca Malouf, said that each item stocked in the space has personality, keeps travellers in mind, and plays upon James Street’s resort aesthetic.

“My inspiration was to create a space that speaks to the hotel’s manner but has its own personality,” Rebecca said. “I want to stock well-designed interesting basic items that I wanted for myself. I wanted to champion local makers and labels and hope that travellers will take some beautiful items home with them.”

M.O.S.T is open daily on the ground floor of The Calile Hotel to fulfil all of your shopping needs. As they say, good things truly do come in small packages!
