Digital Editor's Picks | Colour Inspo: Navy and Raspberry Reds

This week, we're warming up with revved-up raspberry reds and nautical navy, across homewares, fashion and beauty.

By Lucy Stephens | 21st May 2015

This week, I've finally finished my 30 Days Styled By My Boyfriend Challenge, and while it's been quite the adventure, I'm happy to admit that I'm not that sad to see the tail end of it! What I did learn though, is that I need to wear a lot more of the stuff I currently have, but also throw out some oldies to make room for the new.

Inspired by ruby reds and nice navies this week, here's what's on my hit list:

Digital Editor's Picks

1. A5 Leather diary $49.95, Kikki. K

Despite most things being digitalised now (including my job) I still can't help but lust over gorgeous stationery and notepads. I love physically writing things down - and crossing them out. Kikki.K always has some really nice, quality stuff - and this is no exception.

2. Shake you pom beanie $24.95, Sportsgirl

A beanie has been on my must-buy list since the first week of #30 Days Styled By My Boyfriend, and while I haven't quite got there yet, I'm thinking this one will fit the bill. And who doesn't love pom poms?

3. Barrington cushion $39.95, Freedom

Ok ok, my cushion obsession has officially gone into overdrive, but you can never have too many cushions, am I right? This one

4. Kenosha shirt $39.95, Cotton On

One of my favourite things to do is totally dress up an item of clothing that would otherwise appear a little casual (or dare I say, bogan). This 'flanno' - if you will -  will look stunning with the right jeans and a killer pair of heels.

5. Ridley skinny jeans in Della Dark wash $59, ASOS

Cue: the right jeans. Skinny, just above the ankle, and well-priced. ASOS is the ultimate one-stop shop for Autumn/Winter essentials - probably because they actually get the seasons there (unlike here in Brisbane).

6. Foxi red kid suede heels $199.95, Tony Bianco

How amazing are these heels! I don't have any red shoes at the moment, and I'm feeling like these need to be my next investment piece. Awesome with jeans, dress or even maxi skirt, I am adding to bag as we speak.

7. Mac nail lacquer $22, David Jones

I never wear red lipstick except for in winter for some reason. This deep red is ideal for any kind of denim look - just make sure you ALWAYS put on a top coat. Chipped nails are never in fashion.

8. Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge $295, David Jones

Ok, yes, this is REALLY expensive, but it looks sooo fancy, and it smells really good too. It has a bouquet of exotic spicy floral notes, like sambac jasmine sepals absolute (yeah, it's a real ingredient) that make it smell like how I imagine a Turkish Princess.

9. Double Wear stay in place lipstick in Cranberry $45, David Jones

I only wear Double Wear foundation, and have done for years, but have only really just discovered the lipstick. It stays put, cocktail after cocktail, and doesn't dry your lips out. This one is a luscious colour too.

10. Amalfi Jagger Table Lamp $199.95, (see Amalfi Homewares for stockists)

This is really cute, and also includes my fave colour - copper. This lamp is classy, and would look just as nice in a space in winter and in summer.
