Brisbane's Best Instagram-Worthy Dishes

Brisbane's Best Instagram-Worthy Dishes

If you are what you eat, be easy on the eye from breakfast through to dinner with these double-tap dishes.

By Candice Jackson | 29th October 2015

Having your phone out at the table was once a massive sign of disrespect and disinterest; these days, it’s the new “compliments to the chef”. But Brisbane food bloggers and foodies in general are a hard bunch to please. Most Instagrammers won't post any old steak and veggies to their feed; they'll only post the most beautiful and uniquely-plated dishes, to keep their feed as attractive and alluring as possible.

Of course, the taste of the dish will always matter, but the Instagram foodie revolution is definitely making the appearance of the dish work just as hard for our approval.

Here’s the menu for the best Insta-worthy venues in Brisbane:

BREAKFAST

1. Locavore

While we’re devastated they removed the hit gingerbread pancakes from the menu, we’re pretty happy with the alternative: strawberry and cream hotcake with local honey, fresh berries, whipped cream and nut crumble.

2. Bowen Arrow

If their Instagram is anything to go by, they are dishing up some pretty impressive-looking bagels at the moment, including salmon and cream, roast beef and pickles, bacon and egg, vegetarian bagels and their beautifully-photographed cream cheese, fig and mint bagel.

Doughnuts… Similar to burgers, this trend is one Instagrammers can’t get enough of. Maybe it’s the food envy or glistening sugar-coated goodness that sets fingers frantically tapping; either way, we love our doughnuts and your feed will love you for posting one… or a dozen.
