Brisbane’s Best Bakeries

Brisbane’s Best Bakeries

As Madeline says, we love our bread, we love our butter, but most of all we love our bread. No, wait.

If you have said “hurry up with my damn croissants” in a non-joking way, this list is for you. If you think life is pain…au chocolat, this list is for you. If you don’t like baking puns, this list is definitely NOT for you.

But if you’ve got a hankering for some pastry, biscuits, cakes, viennoiseries, or just some really, really good bread, we’re here to make your life a piece of cake with our list of the best bakeries, cakeries, brownie joints and patisseries Brisbane has offered since sliced bread.

How many you ask? Why, a baker’s dozen of course! Which is actually 13 – because he who makes rolls trolls.

Okay, we’ll shut our pie holes with the baking puns. But seriously, these places take the cake!

Flour & Chocolate

Flour & Chocolate’s traditional French breads, pastries, brownies and cakes are so good they don’t even need a fancy name. Their almond and chocolate croissants, olive, black pepper and rosemary loaf and raspberry velvet chocolate cake garner Facebook reviews such as “nom nom mmmm”, “best bakery in Brisbane” and “the closest to heaven that I'm likely to ever get. Could only be improved by hiring Ryan Gosling and getting him to saucily wink at you as you leave with your baked deliciousness.” Sooo yeah, they’re doing well.
