If you’re anything like us here at Style HQ, you’ve more than likely applied the ‘new year, new me’ mantra to your first week of work. And it’s highly probable that your new found mantra has come packaged with a promise to make 2018 your most sober yet.

Look, we’re all for a healthy start to the year, but on Saturday, February 17, it’ll be time to wet your whistle once again as Brisbane’s beloved Bakery Lane is hosting its first ever dedicated Gin Festival.

The first festival of its kind, Gin Sanity Festival will see the Moubment Group (The APO and Laruache) team up with Toowoomba’s Cooreyosity Group (The Spotted Cow and Blank Space) to present the River City’s first annual gin festival.

Bakery Lane at 690 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley will be transformed into a gin-lovers paradise as the festival aims to showcase a hand-selected range of Australian and international gins. Each gin distillery featured at the festival will be making up a classic G&T, plus a signature cocktail of their choice. And to kick things off in the right manner, your ticket will include a cocktail of your choice on arrival.

With the likes of Sipsmith Distillery, Whitley Neil, Archie Rose and The Botanist already promised to feature on the epic festival line-up, there is no question this fest is the best way to farewell summer the right way.

But what would a gin festival be without live music from some of Brisbane’s best bands, an impressive selection of food and expert master classes so you can perfect your gin-making skills with the professionals? From 2pm until 9pm, festival-goers will be treated to the best in the gin biz with a side of beats and eats.

With tickets at only $15 a pop, you can bet this gin fest will be a sellout. Get your hands on tickets here.

See you there with a gin in hand!
