We love our mums – but we also love the stylish celeb mums who make parenthood look effortless and stylish (yes, yes, we know – they have access to bucketloads of cash and stylists). While there are probably only a few things in my own mother’s wardrobe I would want to borrow, I would definitely be keen to raid these celeb baby-mummas' wardrobes! (Luv ya mum)
And with that, here are the 6 celeb mums who clearly are still working it!
While supermodel Miranda Kerr has numerous styles and looks, it’s her street style with son Flynn that makes her model-off-duty style and look so effortless. She frequents the jeans and tee combo, mixing it up with high-heels, shades and a stylish layer over the top in the form of a cape, jacket or coat.
Gwen has always managed to balance glamour with a funky rock-star appeal throughout her musical career, and we love that the journey to motherhood hasn’t altered her killer style. Her signature ‘mum’ style includes jumpsuits, baggy tees and harem pants, partnered with a bold lip, hat or combat boots or loafers.
VICTORIA ‘POSH’ BECKHAM
It’s been a fashion transformation, from Spice Girl to ‘it’ girl, to fashion designer and style icon. For Victoria it’s certainly not all about the little black dress anymore, but we’re still confident she could rock one every day of the week. Her look has remained, well POSH; conservative and tailored, mostly muted tones and of course, accessorized by her signature pout.
Flowy prints, messy hair and a laid-back street style; Nicole Richie has emerged as the queen of bohemian-chic. Far from Paris’ sidekick in The Simple Life, Nicole Richie has cemented herself as one of the most frequently-pinned celeb style icons, managing her own lines, Winter Kate and House of Harlow, named after one of her two children. You’ll often see her sporting blouses, denim shorts, felt hats and oversized bags and sunnies.
Famed designer, editor and stylist, Rachel Zoe describes style as something one creates, while glamour is a state of mind – and we couldn’t agree more. If you feel great, you’ll look great, with confidence being the key to rocking any look. And rock any look, she does! Rachel’s style is a bit Hollywood glam with a modern take on vintage, with kaftans, maxis, fur gilets, fringed accessories and oversized sunnies.
She’s one of the newest celeb mums on the block, but we’ve got to hand it to her already. Blake has proved mums can still be stylish and put together during every step of the maternity period, even up until the moment the new bub was born. Her look is very feminine-by-day, with light colours, blouses, full skirts and barely-there makeup, to her ultra-glam and sexy-by-night looks, with her stunning gowns and hugging dresses. We loved her feminine baby shower look and her sexy red carpet looks embracing her baby bump, but her recent post-baby red carpet look at The Age of Adaline film premiere in New York was simply show-stopping! We’ll be sure to keep an eye on how this new mum’s style continues to progress.
