Here at Style Magazines we are kind of obsessed with champagne. Whether it’s served in a mimosa, scooped as a sorbet, or simply chilled on its own, it’s impossible not to enjoy this classic drink. With this in mind, we were pretty thrilled to hear that Australia’s original champagne festival, Effervescence, would return to the green surrounds of Spicers Hidden Vale for a second year.
While we usually pour a glass of bubbles to celebrate special moments, Effervescence is about raising a glass to our favourite celebratory drink. Tastings and masterclasses (led by experts, no less) will explore the four grape-growing regions and various styles of traditional French champagne, and a champagne trail will recreate the experience of travelling in the famous Champagne region in the north-east of France. The event will run all weekend (August 11-13) but Sunday is set to be a stellar day of champagne, cheese and charcuterie, live music, and VIP luxury packages. Set against the wintry backdrop of Grandchester, we really can’t think of a better way to spend our weekend.
The event includes champagne partnerships with Pol Roger, Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouët and more, as well as retail partnerships with Craft Wine Store, David Donald Champagnes and The Truffle Man.
Head to the website to purchase tickets. You better be quick, because this intimate event will definitely sell out!
