Casino Royale 65 Roses Gala Ball | Cystic Fibrosis Queensland

Saturday, July 20

If you’ve been yearning for an excuse to binge watch all 26 James Bond movies, this is it. Cystic Fibrosis Queensland presents Casino Royale 65 Roses Gala Ball, where the theme remains our favourite 1960s Bond film, Casino Royale. Ladies, get ready to don a gown that screams glamour and sophistication like femme fatale: international spy of mystery. Chaps, choose between the madcap professor, Le Chiffre or Bond himself with a crisp tuxedo and a daring attitude. The $235 ticket includes live entertainment, a three-course meal and a rad drinks package. All funds raised will go towards continuous advocacy and research funding, creating a strong support network for those dealing with Cystic Fibrosis. If you’re wondering what 65 Roses is in reference to; it dates back to 1965 when a young misfit mispronounced cystic fibrosis as “65 Roses”. From that point onwards, this simple blunder has been synonymous to the cause – with the charity even adopting the rose as a national symbol! Take this chance to show your suave like Mr Bond himself. Martinis are calling!

The Veg Ball 2019 | Landing at the Dockside

Set to enrich your plant palette, the UQ Veg Society has planned an exciting night dedicated to the herbivores among us. Your $95-$100 ticket purchase will get you an all-night unlimited vegan drinks package, paired with canapes and a substantial vegan menu to make your night deliciously exceptional. While food will undoubtedly be the star of the show, it won't overshadow the DJ, the dancefloor or the professional photographer, so you can remember your night beyond blurry bathroom selfies. With surprise announcements scheduled throughout the night, expect escalating excitement throughout the evening. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or just willing to give up meat for the night, grab a ticket and relish in what our natural earth has to offer.

The 2019 Girls’ Ball | Riverlife

Tuesday, August 13

Established over 86 years ago, the Girls’ Ball Association has been an integral part of Brisbane’s not-for-profit scene. Integrating rural and city networks, this year’s Girls’ Ball has elected Zig Zag Young Women’s Resource Centre Inc. as their chosen charity. The 2019 ball, while invite only, welcomes all donations, no matter the size. This year’s focus is on specialised sexual assault support, educational prevention programs, housing support and accommodation services for young women who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness. Funds raised will go to supplying basic furnishings, childcare services, educational and development skills and medical costs, creating a refuge for women seeking advice and support. If the $37,000 raised for Women’s Legal Service last year is any indicator, 2019 is bound to be a success and you can be a part of it!

The Riverfire Ball | Stamford Plaza Brisbane

Saturday, September 28

When thinking of iconic Brisbane events, Riverfire arguably surmounts every list. Wrapping up Queensland’s largest arts and cultural festival with a bang, Riverfire is an annual celebration, visible from several vantage spots across Brisbane. But with such excitement comes inevitable crowds, limited capacity and hindered views, which is why the Stamford Plaza Brisbane has gone above and beyond in dedicating the evening to a community ball like none other. The Riverfire Ball will welcome you through the grand city entryway with a tall glass of bubbly on arrival. Followed by a three-hour drink’s packages paired with a divine two-course meal, get ready to don a decadent dress for an unbeatable evening out on the town. But dinner wouldn’t be complete without the world-class firework display that is set to ignite the dark evening sky with various patterns and vibrant hues. In our opinion, such a unique experience makes this $180pp ticket simply priceless.
